Taking Flare of Business

We arrived in Malaga to another densely misty day, but we did not let it dampen our spirits as we boarded a bus to the cute nearby town Mijas. We were given a few hours to explore on our own followed by a wine tasting at the local wine museum. My favorite part of the adorably picturesque town was the several beautiful ceramics shops teeming with pieces hand painted by local artisans. I'd been telling my mom that what I really wanted as a souvenir were a set of plates and bowls for my new apartment and I found the most beautiful matching blue and white set at a store in Mijas that we shipped home. When we returned to Malaga we again had a few hours to walk around, though I was not feeling great and after about an hour of seeing the overcrowded main area along La Calle Larios, I went back to the ship. I got the impression that there was more charm to Malaga than what I saw, though, and I would have liked to spend more time seeing the various museums and other neighborhoods.
