Wishful Thinking

When you dress for spring weather despite the fact that it's -7 degrees outside with the wind chill... Despite the bone-chilling, frostbite-inducing cold, I've had such great past week enjoying some of the benefits of New York Fashion Week. My wonderful friend Kate (of classy-kate.com) invited me to two different Shopstyle events where we had the opportunity to mingle with some of the best bloggers in the game and with a bunch of brand representatives from different companies. And that's not to mention the amazing gifts that we received (including the outfit I'm wearing here omg)! More to come on those events. I also had a lovely Galentine's Day brunch with a bunch of my best girlfriends at Saxon + Parole -- the thickest pancakes I've ever seen and cinnamon sugar donuts, need I say more?! Now I'm trying to buckle down and get some homework done but it's so hard to focus on the U.S. invasion of the Philippines or on reading the Illiad when I'd really rather be stalking fashion shows uptown...

(I wore a black lace Yumi Kim crop top, white wide-leg Nicole Miller pants, black strappy Salvatore Ferragamo heels, a black and white and gold layered necklace from Ann Taylor, a set of gold Kate Spade bangle idiom bracelets, Kate Spade crystal drop earrings, and carried a beige Reiss cross body purse with bow detail.)
