Shop for A Cure

About 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in the course of her lifetime. That's your mother, sister, daughter, aunt, your best friend, the love of your life, your coworker, or the girl sitting next to you in class. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by this awful disease. It affects women (and some men) of all races, all ages, and all backgrounds. And one of the worst parts? Early detection is possible but too many women don't know or ignore the signs. I've learned a lot more about the importance early detection through my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, and the more I research and the more I've heard stories from friends, the more horrified I am with this phenomenon. So please take a moment to read over some more information about the disease and how to do a simple check to rule out any possible concerns. And to show your support during this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, shop at any number of retailers who will donate portions of their proceeds to the cause.
