The Beauty Of: Beachy Waves
We all know that in addition to the tan, the skin benefits of UV rays, and the fun relaxation, one of the best things about the beach is what the salty ocean water does to your hair. Summer beach hair looks great and so laid back cool, but it's not just achievable by jumping in the ocean. Here's some tips on how to create those waves at home:
- Right after you get out of the shower:
- Spray your hair all over with a salt spray (Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray works great!)
- Then messily french braid the hair and secure it loosely with an elastic
- Wait for your hair to dry or blow dry the braid if you're in a hurry
- Take the braid out and spray a little mist of the salt spray, tousling your hair in your fingers
- The whole point is a messy and laid back look so remember, it doesn't have to be perfect
- Once the hair is wavy, you can add some small braids, clips, or headbands to add to the boho effect
- Side note: If your hair is very fine you may want to try a texturizing spray in addition to the salt spray (like the Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray) before the braid and then hair spray the waves after you take your hair out of the braid
