Florence Diaries: A Typical Day

It was my last day of class at NYU Florence today..... Here's some things I will miss about un tipico giorno a Firenze.

IL DUOMO!

Strolling along the Arno River, especially at sunset

The gardens, especially the Boboli...

...and the the NYU Florence campus at La Pietra!

The thousands of years of history in museums like the Uffizi

Botticelli!

Cappuccinos at Caffè Gilli, the oldest operating cafè in Florence, since 1733 (they've been serving coffee since before America was even America.... Think about that.......)

A panini at Antica Birreria di Trieste, where for 3.50 euro you can get whatever combination of fresh ingredients you desire (my favorite: eggplant, Brie cheese, and artichoke spread on olive oil bread)! Yum!

Dinner at La Giostra, including yummy stuffed chicken and the best tiramisu I've ever tasted!

Day trips to beautiful places like Siena...

.....and Pienza!

Cute, narrow, crowded Italian streets

The flowers!

So many flowers!

Literally so pretty!

Did I mention the food?

Oh my gosh the food...

And so much delicious gelato!

So really, there's a lot I'm going to miss... It seems so strange that I'm leaving just as I've really gotten used to Florence...
