Per Reed's request, since he loves architecture and design, we ventured across the river to Brooklyn to see the newly opened 1 Hotels Brooklyn. It was super chilly and windy that day so I'm glad we spent most of it inside and the hotel was definitely a beautiful spot -- right in Dumbo with views of the Brooklyn Bridge and of downtown Manhattan across the water. As we sat in Neighbors, the cafe in the lobby, we could see my apartment building in the view. If you're looking for a trendy hotel to stay that isn't far from Manhattan but also gives you a great taste of Brooklyn, definitely check it out.
I'll let you in on a little secret about my outfit -- my top is technically a pajama top. Shhh. You'd never know the difference cause it's so cute, right? Also, I've been really into this mini white backpack lately from Matt and Nat. It's not just chic and practical, it's also sustainably made from vegan leather and recycled plastic bottles, which makes the eco-nerd in me jump for joy. Shop for it below.
Thanks Reed for the photos!
